and it’s summer!!
Hello, beautiful community of super strong and active moms!
If you are new to this amazing community of moms, you might not know yet just how deeply I care about every single one of my students. If you have been working out with me for a while, you already know the complex mix of excitement and stress that comes with me heading back to Italy.
This is the expat life. We often think we have everything figured out. We want to carry the burden for everyone around us, but underneath, there is always a lot of hidden emotional weight. I’ve spent the last couple of months thinking about your summer so much, and suddenly, here we are: this is my final week in Boulder before I head to Italy for six long weeks.
Everyone assumes it’s just going to be an incredible vacation, but the reality is that it’s also very intense. Going back home means facing the past. It means having the exact same conversations over and over about how the year went, not to mention navigating heavy political discussions.
Why am I telling you all of this? Because I need your help!
First, I need you to show up. Please keep showing up on Zoom and following the Personalized Plan I made for you so you can keep crushing your active goals. I will be on the other side of the planet, but I’ll be ready every day to support you just as if I were in Boulder, a few blocks away!
On the other hand, I’ve been listening closely to your voices. Lately, some of you have told me:
"You are our fitness and life example, you have to teach us how to recharge, too."
"Let us miss you so that we can get even more motivated to start again when you are back!"
Those words hit home. You are absolutely right. I need to show you how to recharge.
We have one more week together in Boulder, and just three weeks until my wedding and honeymoon! While I have worked incredibly hard behind the scenes to plan a fabulous, active summer for all of you, I also really, really want to fully enjoy my wedding and honeymoon.
The Summer Plan: More Support, No Breaks
To give myself the space to be completely OFF-OFF, I found the help of two amazing instructors who will be live on Zoom for you. Instead of completely closing the program for two weeks (as we usually do once every four months), this summer we will operate with no breaks at all, just a slightly reduced live class schedule.
I’ve also loaded up recorded video workouts for you, especially the stretching sessions, to keep your active routine alive. You will receive a personalized email by the end of this week with your specific instructions.

Meet Your Summer Instructors
Classes will be a mix of myself and two incredible coaches. Out of everyone I interviewed, these two stood out as the absolute best. Their styles are different from mine, but beautifully complementary:
Janelle: fitness coach specializing in prenatal and postpartum training with a high-intensity barre style.
Christine: prenatal and postpartum yoga specialist with a wealth of advanced certifications.
If you stick to the plan I’ve mapped out for you while I am away, you will build a rock-solid foundation to keep achieving your personal goals. I will still be sending our weekly emails and WhatsApp texts to post the workout plans, so keep an eye out!

Before I head into this next chapter, I want to take a moment to say a massive THANK YOU to every single one of you.
Thank you for showing up and working out with me through this winter quadrimester. Thank you for trusting me with your bodies, especially those of you who trusted me to help rehab your core postpartum. Thank you for running by my side, and most of all, thank you for opening up and sharing both your physical and emotional motherhood challenges with me. Thank you for being the most supportive, loving community an instructor could ask for.
You inspire me every day, and I am so incredibly grateful to be on this journey with you.
